Enter recipient, IBAN and amount — and the QR code for the banking app is ready. No retyping long IBANs, no transposed digits, faster incoming payments. And your IBAN stays in your browser.
Step 1 · What should your code do?
Step 2 · Fill in
GiroCode: the banking app fills in the whole transfer — recipient, IBAN, amount, reference.
GiroCode (EPC-QR): banking apps scan the code and fill in the whole SEPA transfer.
Step 3 · Appearance
All optional — the code works fine as it is.

How it works
Step 01
Enter the recipient's name and IBAN — the generator catches most typos via the built-in IBAN checksum. Amount and reference are optional.
Step 02
Set a fixed amount (e.g. for an invoice) or leave it open (e.g. for donations) — whoever scans sees all the details in their own banking app and authorizes the transfer themselves.
Step 03
On the invoice, the donation flyer or the fee notice. Your customers' banking app reads the code via "photo transfer" or the QR symbol in the transfer form.
EPC standard — works with practically all German banking apps
Where the GiroCode pays off
01 Invoices
The code on the invoice saves your customers from retyping the long IBAN. The result: fewer misbookings, fewer queries, faster money.
02 Clubs
Membership fee, training camp, event fund: put the code on the letter or the notice — the reference is already filled in correctly, so it's matched to the right entry.
03 Donations
On flyers, posters or at the entrance: leave the amount open, and everyone donates as much as they like in their own banking app — no form, no copying.
Questions & Answers
A QR code in the European EPC standard that contains a ready-made SEPA transfer: recipient, IBAN, amount and reference. Banking apps scan it and fill in the transfer form completely.
Practically all German ones: Sparkasse, Volksbank/Raiffeisenbank, ING, DKB, Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank and many more. The feature is usually called "photo transfer" or hides behind the QR symbol in the transfer form.
No. The code only contains the transfer details — nothing is withdrawn. Whoever scans sees all the details in their own banking app and authorizes the transfer themselves, just like any other transfer.
No. Without an amount, the field stays open in the banking app — ideal for donations. With an amount (e.g. for an invoice) the transfer is fully pre-filled.
No. The code is created entirely in your browser — IBAN, name and amount never leave your device. The built-in IBAN check also runs locally.
Yes, that's exactly what it's made for. Many companies, clubs and public authorities in Germany and Austria already use it as standard.
