About SilentLink · founded 2021 in Wuppertal

We didn't come about overnight. Luckily.

Every company story has a polished version. This is the other one: two apprentices, a plan that was too big, projects that fell apart — and in the end a system that holds precisely because of it. This is how it really was.

  1. 2021

    Founding

Two apprentices, a plan too big.

In our second year training as IT specialists, we start a company. The plan: an administration system for driving schools — in hindsight far bigger than what we could do back then. But we started. And never stopped.

  2. 2022

    First real contract

    Software for the building site.

Through our network comes the first big contract: construction-log software for a renowned building company. We give it everything — and the project falls apart anyway, on our own mistakes and on things no one could control. What remains is the most expensive lesson of our early years: a handshake is not a system.

  3. 2022–24

    The learning years

    Building until it holds.

To fund ourselves, we build for others: dozens of web and software projects for mid-sized businesses. In between, our own attempts — a COVID testing platform, an ERP for service providers. None of them became the big breakthrough. But with each one we learned what really matters: systems that don't fall over when things get serious.

  4. 2022–24

    The turning point

    Two founders become one.

This belongs in an honest timeline too: one of the two founders leaves the company. Darrel stays — with the network from the project years, the lessons from every failed attempt and the certainty that the best idea is still missing.

  5. 2024

    In quiet

SilentLink, under wraps for over a year.

Then it's there — not a world first, more a question that won't let go: why do you have to give strangers your own mobile number to be reachable for them? We build the answer quietly over a year. And from the start we set it up not as a product but as a platform — for people, and as whitelabel for companies.

  6. 2025

    Launch for private customers

    The first ID goes live.

Early in the year, SilentLink leaves stealth mode — with the DriveID for the car. The first ID is activated, the first stranger scans, the first message arrives. A small moment that around three years of work had led up to.

  7. 2025

    New partner

    Growth needs more than software.

Midway through the year, Abdou Seye joins as a partner. He brings the side software alone can't deliver: sales, reach, a feel for people. Because the best system is no use to anyone who never hears about it.

  8. 2025

    First partners

    Companies come on board.

By the end of the year, the first B2B partnerships are in place: brands that use reachability as a promotional tool and service channel — on the same platform that also carries the DriveID. The bet from day one pays off: one system, many applications.

  9. 2026

    Today

Five IDs. One account. And room for more.

A single tag for the car has become a family: Drive, Travel, Pet, Key, Rescue — all on one account, one architecture, with servers in Germany and the EU. And the architecture is built to keep growing. We're not big yet. But with every line of code we know what it does — because we wrote every one ourselves.

Why SilentLink exists

Between good intentions and a good deed, usually all that stands is a missing connection.

A car park, a dull crunch — someone has clipped your parked car. The driver is honest, he wants to sort it out. But how? A note under the wiper doesn't even count legally. So he'd have to wait until you eventually come back — or call the police over a scratch. When all it would take is one thing: a way to reach you for a moment.

The same scene, in a hundred variations: the passenger who spots your backpack on the train — two minutes after you got off. The jogger your dog suddenly sits down in front of. The woman who finds your keyring and turns it over, at a loss. People everywhere who want to help — and no path leads to you. Because your mobile number rightly belongs neither on a windscreen nor on a collar.

This is exactly the gap SilentLink closes. One scan, and the person standing by your car reaches you — by message or call, instantly and without an app, while your number stays invisible to them. Waiting and hoping becomes a connection that arrives.

There was never a trust problem. Only a connection problem.

Our whole system rests on this assumption: to us the stranger is not a risk we protect you from — he's the helper we put through to you.

„The world is full of honest people. We make it easy for them.“

— Das SilentLink-Prinzip

Platform, not product

The DriveID was only the beginning.

What you see on the car is a tag. What works behind it is a platform: the relay between scanner and owner, the channels, the dashboard — all our own development, no off-the-shelf kit. Understood down to the last line, and extensible because of it.

We started with the car. Then came luggage, pet and emergency — every new ID runs on the same account and the same architecture. Whoever activates a DriveID today isn't buying the end of a product, but the beginning of a system that keeps growing.

And because honesty is the policy here: we've only served private customers since early 2025 — younger in the market than the timeline suggests. The years are in the foundations. That our approach now finds imitators, we take as a compliment — you can copy what something like this looks like. Not what works beneath it.

  • Five IDs, one account: Drive · Travel · Pet · Key · Rescue — and room for the next ones.
  • Our own architecture: relay, channels and dashboard come from us, down to the last line.
  • Developed in Wuppertal, servers in Germany and the EU — GDPR from the ground up.

What guides us

Four principles. None of them negotiable.

  • 01 Plain talk

    Say it like it is.

No fear hooks, no dark patterns, no rounded-up numbers, no bought stars. We describe what our system can do — and what it can't. That's harder work. And it convinces for longer.

  • 02 System, not promises

    Data protection is architecture.

"Your number stays private" isn't a marketing line here, but the way it's built. What technically can't leak out, you don't have to promise.

  • 03 Made in Germany

    Built here, hosted here.

Developed in Wuppertal, servers in Germany and the EU, GDPR from the very first sketch. Short paths, clear responsibility — even when something goes wrong.

  • 04 Staying power

Since 2021 — and only just beginning.

We've survived detours where others would have given up. SilentLink is not a weekend project, but what everything before it was leading to.

Who's behind it

Small, but complete.

Two partners with clearly divided roles and a well-practised network from the project years — no middle layer to slow decisions down. Whoever writes to us doesn't land in a ticketing system, but with us.

  • 01 Founder & CEO

    Darrel Hozaifeh

Darrel builds SilentLink from the inside: product, platform, brand, legal and administration. The architecture behind the IDs comes from his hand — from the first prototype to today.

  • 02 Partner & CSO

    Abdou Seye

Abdou builds SilentLink outward: sales, marketing, reach and partnerships — from the individual customer to the B2B brand. He makes sure a good system doesn't stay Wuppertal's best-kept secret.

  • 03 Since the project years

    The network

Developers, designers and manufacturing partners we've worked with for years. We grow through trust we've earned — not through a bloated team.

What we believe · Development

Most of our work is invisible.

We don't believe good products are made in marketing. They're made earlier — in research and development, where nobody is watching. That's why most of our time and money doesn't go into advertising, but into the platform behind the IDs: the relay, the channels, the dashboard — and the details you only notice the day it matters.

That has an effect you wouldn't expect from a product costing €24.99: because every ID runs on the same platform, every improvement automatically reaches the IDs sold long ago, too. Your DriveID can do more today than on the day you bought it — and more next year than today, without you doing a thing.

An ID is never finished here — it's simply the latest state of our development.

What we believe · Service

Sales go up and down. Service stays.

"Sales go up and down. Service stays forever." The line comes from Jason Goldberg — and we've set it in our own design language. Not as decoration, but as a standing instruction: sales figures swing with season, occasion and ad budget. What stays is the experience people have with us.

That's why your mail is answered by a founder, not a queue; why we sort out complaints instead of debating them — and why we take the question after the purchase as seriously as the one before it. An ID is bought in two minutes. Whether it's looked after well shows over years.

Sales are a number in a monthly report. Service is what people remember.

Sales

go up and down.

Service

stays forever.
