How it works
Someone finds your keys. You find out right away.
Most finders would gladly give your keys back. Until now, they just didn't know who they belonged to. With the KeyID on your keyring, a quick scan is all it takes, and nobody learns your address.
-
Someone scans the KeyID
With their normal phone camera. They only see what you've entered, for example "4 keys, red fob".
-
They send you a short message
Where they found the keys and where they're leaving them. They share their location with one tap.
You get the message
Via WhatsApp or email. Your name, address and number stay hidden.

What buyers write about their KeyID.

Our answers
Frequently asked questions about the KeyID, the keyring tag with a QR code.
Why not just a tag with your name and address?
Because keys and an address are a bad combination. Everyone senses that, which is why classic address tags on keyrings rightly go unused. The KeyID solves this: the finder reaches you right away, but learns neither who you are nor which door your keys open.
I've lost my keys. What should I do?
First search calmly, then check with lost property offices, and only after that decide whether to change the lock. With the KeyID on your keyring, the search often turns into a message: whoever finds the keys scans the code and writes to you, with the location.
What does someone who scans the KeyID see?
A simple page with what you've entered, for example "4 keys, red fob", and one question: what's this about? They write a few words and send. No ads, no account, no app. You can see the page in the live demo.
Can I see where my keys were found?
Yes. When sending the message, the finder shares their location with one tap, and the spot appears as an address with a map link right in your notification.
Are there any ongoing costs?
No. The KeyID costs €24.99 once, with no further costs after that. Notifications via WhatsApp and email are included for good, across all your IDs.
Can I return it if it's not for me?
Yes, within 30 days of receipt, as long as you haven't activated the KeyID yet. Once activated, it's permanently linked to your account, so it's best to check the fit on your keyring first. If you return only part of a set, we recalculate the volume discount for the quantity you keep (details in the cancellation policy). For defects, the statutory two-year warranty applies.
Where can I find out more about the KeyID?
On the Everything about the KeyID page. It explains in detail how it works, why it exists and what's inside it, with a live demo.
