Solution · Elevators & building services

The reporting route that sits on the unit.

The elevator door sticks, the corridor lighting flickers, there's water on the plant room floor: whoever notices is standing right in front of it — with no number, no contact, no unit ID. ServiceID turns every unit into a report point of its own: scan, pick a topic, done. The report arrives structured with the responsible service company, with the unit and the location.

The benchmark

The standard the big players set — without their development department.

At the large elevator manufacturers, a digital reporting route at the unit has long been standard: whoever notices a fault reports it right where it shows — clearly assigned to the unit, with no detour via a hotline. Property managers and owners get used to that convenience and increasingly expect it from their maintenance partner too.

For the regional maintenance company — often manufacturer-independent, never with a software department of its own — that has been a disadvantage in the competition for maintenance contracts: building your own reporting system doesn't pay off for a few hundred units under contract. With ServiceID you get the same reporting route as a finished solution — under your name towards your customers, without a development project.

  • The same digital reporting route the large manufacturers have established
  • As a finished solution — no development or IT project of your own
  • An argument in the competition for maintenance contracts, visible on every unit

The honest limit first

The emergency call in the car stays the emergency call.

Before we talk about benefits, the boundary: for people trapped in an elevator, German industrial safety regulations require a two-way communication system in the car — the direct voice link to a permanently staffed centre. ServiceID does not replace that emergency call system, and it is not meant to. Anyone shut in presses the emergency button.

ServiceID is built for everything before and around it: the sticking door, the unusual noise, the broken lighting, the graffiti, the water on the plant room floor. Reports nobody makes a phone call about today — but which decide whether an oddity turns into an outage.

  • Someone trapped: the car's emergency call system — nothing changes there
  • Everything else: sticking doors, noises, lighting, vandalism, cleanliness
  • Reported early instead of escalated: oddities reach service before the unit stops

How it works on the property

Sits on the unit — and reports for it.

From the car panel to the plant room: the report point sits where the fault shows.

  1. Step 01

    Report point on the unit.

Every report point knows its unit: property, location, unit number — stored during the one-time setup. Weatherproof and UV-stable, for the car, the entrance or outdoors.

  2. Step 02

    Whoever notices something scans.

Tenant, caretaker, cleaner or passer-by: the ordinary phone camera, pick a topic, optionally a photo — no app, no login, no knowledge of the unit needed.

  3. Step 03

    Structured, with the service company.

The report reaches the responsible team with unit, location, topic and timestamp — a clean case for the ticket system instead of "the elevator on Müllerstraße is doing something odd".

Every report: unit · location · topic · photo · timestamp

Frequently asked questions

Elevators & building services — in brief.

Does ServiceID replace the emergency call system in the elevator?

No — explicitly not. The two-way communication system in the car is required for people trapped inside and stays entirely untouched. ServiceID is the reporting route for faults and oddities around the unit: doors, lighting, noises, vandalism, cleanliness.

What does the maintenance company actually get out of it?

Complete reports instead of follow-up questions: unit, location, topic, photo and timestamp come with every report — the technician knows what to expect before setting off. Plus the analysis of which units report most often. And towards property managers, a visible argument: a digital reporting route on every unit under contract.

Our units sit with different property managers. Does that work?

Yes — recipients and topics are configured per unit or property group. Reports from property A can go to a different team than those from property B, and the managing agent can be copied in on request.

Does the report point survive outdoors and in the car?

Yes. The report points are weatherproof and UV-stable — built for entrances, cars and outdoor areas. If one is damaged or becomes conspicuous, it can be blocked and replaced individually.

What does the reporting route cost per unit?

From €0.50 per unit and month, plus a one-time setup fee based on scope — no contract lock-in. Starting with one property or one group of units is the usual route; you expand once the reports prove the value.

How quickly are we ready to go?

No IT project: as soon as topics and recipients are settled, we produce your report points — attach them, done. From order to a running system usually takes about two weeks.
