Why the RescueID exists
The first question after first aid: "Who do I call?"
People help — right away, without hesitating. What's missing is almost never the will. It's a phone number.
A fall from a bike, a circulation that gives way, a passer-by who gives first aid. The emergency call is made, the situation stable — and then? The person's phone: locked. The emergency medical ID inside it: empty or nowhere to be found. No helper likes to go through a stranger's pockets. And back home, all the while, no one has any idea.
And yet that's exactly the moment your family wants to know: that something has happened, where you are, that someone is looking after you. Nothing ill-intentioned stands between the helper and that one call — just a number they don't have.

One scan, no hurdle.
The ordinary phone camera recognises the QR code and opens a lean page: what's this about? Tap a topic, write a quick note, send. No download, no account — in a moment when every minute counts, that's the whole journey.

SilentLink relays it — instantly and encrypted.
The message travels via servers in Germany and the EU to the channels you've saved. On the Premium plan it reaches up to three recipients at once — partner, parents, best friend. The helper never sees a number, never a name.

The right people know.
Via WhatsApp, email or optionally SMS — with the location as an address and map link, if the helper shares it. Follow-up questions travel straight back, and with Premium as a relayed call too. Your family can act: set off, call the hospital, stay reachable.
Important: the RescueID complements the emergency services, it doesn't replace them — in an emergency the rule is always: call 112 first.

Precisely when you've got nothing on you
Running, cycling, hiking — the RescueID is there anyway.
In the very moments with the greatest risk, you carry the least: out running, the wallet stays home; on a bike ride, the phone is buried deep in a backpack — locked anyway. If something happens then, helpers have nothing to go on but what you're wearing on your body.
That's exactly what the wristband is built for: it needs no battery, no connection, no device from you — the helper scans with their camera, everything else runs on their phone. You don't have to charge anything, unlock anything, carry anything. The RescueID works precisely when everything else is at home.

What is the RescueID?
The RescueID is a QR contact point from SilentLink for emergencies, worn as a wristband or tag. A first responder scans the code and reaches the contacts you've saved — via WhatsApp, SMS or email, without unlocking your phone. No battery, no app, developed in Germany.
Who does a helper reach when they scan the RescueID?
Exactly the people you've chosen. In the dashboard you save your channels — WhatsApp, SMS or email; on the Premium plan one report reaches up to three recipients at once, such as partner and parents. You decide who gets word in an emergency, and can change it anytime.
Does the RescueID replace the emergency call?
No, and it isn't meant to. In an emergency the rule is always: call 112 first. The RescueID takes over the step after that — it tells your family that something has happened and where. Exactly the call that otherwise often comes only hours later, because no one knew who to dial.
Why not just the emergency medical ID in the phone?
The emergency medical ID makes sense — if it's kept up to date and the helper finds it. In practice it often fails on both counts: the phone is locked, the ID empty, and the way to it differs from device to device. The RescueID is worn in plain sight — as a wristband or tag — and always works the same way: point the camera, done. Both together is ideal.
And what about my keys?
That's what the KeyID is for — the same anonymous way to reach you, as a tag for your keyring. The RescueID focuses on emergencies at the wrist. Same technology, different jobs — both run on the same account.
Can I see where it was scanned?
Yes: when sending, the helper shares their location with one tap — it then appears right in the notification, as an address with a map link. That way your family knows not only that something has happened, but where.
Does the RescueID store health data?
Only what you deliberately save. In the dashboard you keep your emergency notes — allergies, pre-existing conditions or medication, for instance — and that is exactly what a helper sees after the scan. Nothing is printed on the wristband itself; you can change or remove the details at any time. The RescueID is first information and contact point in one — not a complete medical record, and never a replacement for the emergency services — with the people who really need it.
What does the RescueID cost — and what comes after?
Like every SilentLink ID, the RescueID costs a one-off €24.99. After that the Starter plan is free forever, including WhatsApp notifications; Premium (€19.99/year or €2.49/month) brings SMS, anonymous calls and up to three recipients — all the details in the plan comparison.
When will the RescueID be available again?
The RescueID isn't available to order right now. If you want one, drop us a line — we'll let you know as soon as it's back. Until then the DriveID and TravelID are available as usual; all IDs will later share one account.
