What's inside the “brand value per return”?
More than the pure goods value: the replacement your customer is spared, the positive brand experience, the word of mouth and the negative review prevented. Enter a conservative figure — even a low one covers the cents-per-unit cost of the integration.
What return rate is realistic?
It depends on your product category: luggage and mobile accessories get lost more often than furniture. The calculator starts at a conservative 3% — what matters is that lost products with a contact function have any chance of coming back at all; without it, that chance is zero.
Why not just a Bluetooth tracker?
A tracker locates the item for its owner but doesn't enable the finder to act — and it costs double-digit euros per unit plus a battery. QR/NFC costs cents, works with any smartphone worldwide and needs neither an app nor a battery. That's why factory-fitted integration pays off.
Are the integration costs really that low?
You print the QR codes yourself — zero hardware cost, platform from €0.49 per unit (one-time). We supply NFC tags from approx. €0.30 each. No monthly fee, no contract. Details on the OEM page.
